It’s Almost Time for Georgia Football!

As we post this blog, UGA Football kickoff is only 10 days away! It’s almost time to tailgate on North Campus as you feel the cool fall breeze and watch the leaves change color. It’s almost time to yell and scream at our favorite players during the Dawg Walk. It’s almost time to feel chills when the lone trumpeter precedes kickoff with the unrivaled rendition of the Battle Hymn of the Bulldog Nation. And it’s almost time to join in with your 93,000 closest friends to cheer on the dawgs!

This video has been circulating around Facebook and other social media applications getting dawg fans fired up for the 2009-2010 football season.

Preseason feedback seems to be mixed. The Bulldawg Illustrated crew has been following it religiously and has some really great insight into how we are going to look this year. In addition, The Red & Black shares player profiles, gameplans and more.

As we all know, Athens in town and campus traffic gets a little crazy. If you want ideas on where to park, visit Gameday Gameplan. But just think, if you lived at Whistlebury, Whistlebury Walk or Waterford Place, you could walk!

Before and after the game, downtown Athens will be hopping and it’s fun to try and wrangle a seat at one of the many restaurants and cafes with outdoor seating and shout out “Go Dawgs” to all of the passerbys outfitted in gameday red and black.

This year’s season opener will be Georgia’s first opener played away from Sanford Stadium since the Bulldogs shut out Clemson 30-0 to start the 2003 season.

Kickoff for the 2009 season opener UGA v. Oklahoma State is slated for 3:30 p.m. ET and ABC will televise the game.
